As much as we love talking about real estate in Jefferson and Berkeley Counties, sometimes there is something much more important to discuss. This is one of those times! It has been brought to our attention that the Community Ministries Food Pantry in downtown Charles Town is shockingly low on on food. Community Ministries has been spending their own money to keep their shelves at least minimally stocked. We urge you to help if there is any way possible for you to do so. Their most urgent needs include: meats (hamburger, hot dogs, canned), soups, canned fruits, cereals, pork and beans, peanut butter, jelly, oatmeal (instant and regular), pancake mix and syrup, boxed potatoes, meal kits (like Hamburger Helper), coffee, flour, sugar, rice, spaghetti noodles and sauce. Donations are accepted on weekdays from 9am-noon, though they will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6th. They will be open on Saturday, Sept. 4th from 9am-noon to make up for the Labor Day closing. If you live too far away to donate food, but would like to make a monetary donation, please call us at 304-725-1001 and ask for a member of The Kable Team. We'll help you direct your gift to the appropriate office.
