There was great piece in today's (1/26/11) Washington Post about home prices in the D.C. region. As tabulated in November, the region's home prices had increased 3.5% in the previous year. Of the other 19 metropolitan areas tracked, only three others were in the black, and they are in CA, which we found interesting since that's been such a hard-hit market, and trends usually start there. The article pointed out that there were gains in the outer suburbs, specifically Prince William County, Frederick County, MD, and Loudoun County. We believe the Charles Town, Ranson, Harpers Ferry, Shepherdstown, and Martinsburg areas will once again be a haven for those seeking a wonderful homes at affordable prices. Check out the article at:
