Take a walk on the Washington Heritage Trail. This is one of the best timelines of American History that there is. Encompassing colonial towns, industrial sites, Civil War locations and railroad landmarks, you have miles of historical attractions to enjoy should you choose to embark on the trail. There are 48 historical points of interest all along the trail, so you can experience a little slice of our country’s history over the course of several different days.

See the sites on Charles Towns’s Historic Downtown Walking Tour. Thirty two pieces of history will come to life before your eyes in Charles Towns’s historic downtown area. The Jefferson County Courthouse, the Flagg House and the Brown house are only a few of the many highlights that you would be able to experience on this walking tour. This particular attraction is perfect for newcomers because it gives you a fantastic introduction to the Charles Town community, and it gets you out and walking around our downtown area.
